Trekking Ta Chi Nhu is an adventure to one of the most famous peaks in Vietnam’s Northwest, located in Tram Tau District, Yen Bai Province. Standing at 2,979m, Ta Chi Nhu is well known for its vast sea of clouds, untouched mountain landscapes, and especially the beautiful purple Chi Pâu flowers.

This is an ideal trekking destination for those who love nature, want to challenge themselves on a high-altitude trail, and experience the raw beauty of Vietnam’s Northwest mountains.

1. Highlights of Ta Chi Nhu

Ta Chi Nhu is often known as a “cloud paradise” thanks to its wide and unobstructed views from the summit. On days with favorable weather conditions, trekkers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and a vast sea of clouds stretching beneath them.

In particular, October – November is the season when Chi Pâu flowers bloom. The mountain slopes are covered in shades of pink and purple, standing out against the blue sky and white clouds.

Along the trekking route, you may also encounter horses and goats belonging to local H’Mong communities, grazing freely on the mountain slopes. These simple scenes create a landscape that is both wild and incredibly poetic.

If the weather is favorable, Ta Chi Nhu can offer one of the most impressive sea-of-cloud experiences in Vietnam’s Northwest.

2. Altitude & Difficulty

Ta Chi Nhu reaches an altitude of 2,979m and is considered a moderate to moderately challenging trekking route.

The trail does not involve too many technical sections, but it is characterized by long and continuous uphill climbs, requiring good endurance.
