Những điều cần chuẩn bị trước khi trekking
Solid preparation doesn't take away from the fun—it ensures you actually have the energy to enjoy it.

Whether your first trek is a triumph or a disaster is usually decided before you even step onto the bus. Here is the essential checklist to get you trail-ready.
1. Physical Conditioning
Don't wait until the final days to start training. At least three weeks before your trip:
- Walk 5–7 km, 3 sessions per week.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
- Train with a loaded backpack (around 5 kg) to get your shoulders used to the weight.
A challenging trek isn't just about the elevation gain—it's about whether you can keep moving for 8 hours straight. If you have a sedentary lifestyle or are new to trekking, make sure to pack a pair of knee braces for extra support.
2. Essential Packing List
Here is a detailed breakdown of the essentials you need to pack for a safe, comfortable, and seamless journey:
👕 Apparel & Footwear
- Footwear: Quality athletic shoes, 1–2 sizes larger than your normal fit (dedicated trekking shoes are highly recommended).
- Clothing: Windbreaker, thermal layers, and quick-dry pants (pack 3 sets total: 2 for the trail, 1 clean set for the journey home).
- Accessories: A wide-brimmed hat, a beanie, a scarf, and 3–5 pairs of socks.
- Camp Shoes: A pair of sandals or slippers for the campsite. Simple slip-ons (like classic honeycomb slides) are ideal, as you can also wear them on the descent if your toes start hurting.
🔋 Electronics
- A reliable power bank to ensure your communication devices stay charged throughout the trail.
🧼 Toiletries & Medical Kit
- Personal toiletries, including shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a travel towel.
- Body warmer patches and personal medications (be sure to inform your trip leader in advance if you have any pre-existing medical conditions).
🍫 Trail Snacks & Energy Boosters
- Quick energy snacks, focusing on jelly packets, candies, and chocolates for a fast blood sugar boost on the go.
3. Documents & Logistics
- Save your trip leader's phone number.
- Give your family a copy of the itinerary and let them know when you expect to be back in cell service range.
